101: The Calamity (سُورَةُ القَارِعَةِ)

1	The (Day) of Noise and Clamour: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم القارعة Al qaari’ah
2	What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour? ما القارعة Mal qaariah
3	And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? وما أدراك ما القارعة Wa maa adraaka mal qaari’ah
4	(It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, يوم يكون الناس كالفراش المبثوث Yauma ya koonun naasu kal farashil mabthooth
5	And the mountains will be like carded wool. وتكون الجبال كالعهن المنفوش Wa ta koonul jibalu kal ‘ihnil manfoosh
6	Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, فأما من ثقلت موازينه Fa-amma man thaqulat mawa zeenuh
7	Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. فهو في عيشة راضية Fahuwa fee ‘ishatir raadiyah
8	But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- وأما من خفت موازينه Wa amma man khaffat mawa zeenuh
9	Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. فأمه هاوية Fa-ummuhu haawiyah
10	And what will explain to thee what this is? وما أدراك ما هيه Wa maa adraaka maa hiyah
11	(It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely! نار حامية Naarun hamiyah
